March 24 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 12-5-5 all-time against the Winnipeg franchise, a record that includes an away mark of 5-5-2. The Kings are now 1-1-0 in their season series with the Jets in advance of the teams’ final meeting in the 82nd game of the season, April 9, at Staples Center.

-Los Angeles fell to 24-16-2 against the Western Conference and 10-7-2 against the Central Division.

-With his second period goal, Anze Kopitar now has 16 points (7-9=16 in the last 13 games. With a -2 performance, he dropped into a tie for first place in the league in plus-minus with Chris Kunitz at +30.

-By stopping 20 of 23 shots, Jonathan Quick’s career save percentage against the Thrashers and Jets fell to .881, his lowest against any NHL team.

-With an assist, Drew Doughty moved into a tie with Steve Duchesne for second place all-time amongst Kings defensemen with 315 career points (80-235=315). In 29 games since January 24, he has seven goals, 24 points and a +9 rating.

-The Kings attempted 76 shots (34 on goal, 25 blocked, 17 missed). The Jets attempted 48 shots (24 on goal, 14 blocked, 10 missed). Dustin Brown and Jeff Carter tied with a game-high six shots on goal, while Brown (6 on goal, 2 blocked, 2 missed) led all skaters with 10 shot attempts.

-Los Angeles won 37-of-58 faceoffs (64%). Anze Kopitar won 8 of 14, Andy Andreoff won 8-of-11, Nick Shore won 9-of-13, Trevor Lewis won 0-of-1, Nic Dowd won 6-of-13 and Jeff Carter won 6-of-6.

The Kings will have an off-ice workout at 12:00 p.m. On Friday, March 25.
