Good morning, Glendale, and get well soon, Bob - LA Kings Insider

Good morning, Glendale, and good morning, Insiders.

There are plenty of Good Morning posts to come in which we’ll have some fun and watch landing videos, but today is kind of a rough day.

Please keep Bob Miller in your thoughts and prayers today as he undergoes heart surgery. His health and wellbeing, and the wellbeing of his wife, Judy, are more important than anything that I’ll share on this site at any time this year. From Insiders and LGKers and those across the Kingdom, get well soon, Bob. We can’t wait to hear your voice and be warmed by your presence on television sets again, after a thorough and swift recovery.

On the logistics end, there will be a few changes to LA Kings Insider that will really only be noticed by site regulars. As Nick Nickson shifts over to television play by play alongside Jim Fox, I’m moving to radio play by play alongside Daryl Evans, and that will spur a few changes on game day coverage. On game days, expect afternoon stories to be quote transcripts instead of semi-lengthier articles as I prepare for that night’s broadcast, and bear with some delay in post-game notes, quotes and video posts as we establish a rhythm that leaves all bases covered. LAKI will receive some extra helping hands on the road when there is a tight turnaround; game threads will still go up and will still be moderated. There will be no changes to reporting and content on non-game days.

Thank you for understanding, and again, let’s all hope and pray for Bob’s expeditious recovery from his surgery today. Coverage from the team’s morning skate will come shortly.
