October 24 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 35-27-10 all-time against the Carolina franchise, a record that includes a home mark of 22-11-3. The Kings have won a club record five consecutive home games in the series since a 3-2 loss on December 8, 2005.

-Los Angeles improved to 1-0-0 against the Metropolitan Division and 1-0-0 against the Eastern Conference. These teams will conclude their season series on November 22 in Raleigh.

-The Kings won their fourth consecutive game. Last season , they established two streaks of at least four games (six games and eight games).

-Tyler Toffoli extended his goal streak to a career-long four games (five goals total) by recording his first multi-goal effort of the season.

-Jonathan Quick stopped all 40 shots to record the 38th shutout of his career. He is now 8-0-2 when facing 40-or-more shots in a game and improved to 4-1-0 lifetime against Carolina with a 1.38 goals-against average and .954 save percentage.

-With two assists, Milan Lucic posted his first multi-point game as a King. He has three points (1-2=3) on in the last two games.

-Christian Ehrhoff has recorded power play assists in consecutive games.

-Alec Martinez issued a game-high five hits.

-Los Angeles attempted 50 shots (28 on goal, 12 blocked, 10 missed). Carolina attempted 63 shots (40 on goal, 12 blocked, 11 missed). Victor Rask led all skaters with five shots on goal.

-The Kings won 25-of-66 faceoffs (38%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 12-of-26, Andy Andreoff won 3-of-5, Nick Shore won 3-of-11, and Jeff Carter won 7-of 19. Jordan Staal won 12-of-16 faceoffs for the Hurricanes.

The Kings are scheduled to report to Toyota Sports Center at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24. The day’s schedule will be determined on-site.
