October 2 practice notes, photos

Practice was moved up by a half hour today, and when the Kings took the ice, they showed the following alignment:

White: Lucic-Kopitar-Gaborik
Blue: Pearson-Carter-Toffoli-Weal
Yellow: King-Shore-Brown
Purple: Clifford-Lewis-Nolan
Green: Mersch-Andreoff-O’Neill

Notes:

-Defensive pairings were Forbort-Doughty, McNabb-Martinez, Schultz-Ehrhoff and LoVerde-McBain.

-Matt Greene and Jake Muzzin both took the ice near the end of the practice. Muzzin has been skating for much of the week, but this was the first time Greene had joined the team at the end of a practice. Both players suffered upper-body injuries during Sunday’s shootout win in Denver.

-There won’t be running commentary or an updated live blog for Saturday’s game in Las Vegas, as I’ll be hosting the FOX Sports West broadcast. I’m still planning on posting an open game thread, time permitting. A reminder:
