Kings, Coyotes to play rookie games at TSC

The Kings announced late this morning that they will hold a pair of rookie games against the Arizona Coyotes at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo on September 15 and 16. The Tuesday, September 15 game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., while the Wednesday, September 16 game will start at 2:00 p.m. Ticket information is not yet available.

This is good news for Kings fans; since hosting the Coyotes for two games in September, 2011, only one rookie game had been held at TSC, a 3-2 win over Anaheim in September 13. Last year, the Kings split a pair of games against Arizona at Gila River Arena.

The announcement also confirmed that the club’s training camp will open on September 18 at TSC. The Kings’ first two preseason games will be held against the Coyotes on September 21 (in Bakersfield) and 22 (at Staples Center). Click here for the full preseason schedule.

Rookie Camp is scheduled to open on September 11 at TSC.
