Jonathan Quick won New England championships in 2004 and 2005 as the goaltender for Avon Old Farms, a Connecticut boarding school that counts fellow Conn Smythe Trophy winner Brian Leetch as an alumni. Last Saturday, Quick, in addition to the 2004 and 2005 championship hockey teams that compiled a 52-3 record, was inducted into the Avon Old Farms Hall of Fame, along with Vancouver Canucks forward Chris Higgins (a 2000 graduate), Penn basketball star Perry Bromwell (1982) and the 2003 Varsity Tennis team. Among those to honor Quick last weekend was hockey coach John Gardner, who is in his 40th year at Avon Old Farms and has won eight New England Championships and over 700 games.
