Good morning, Edmonton

Good morning, Edmonton, and good morning, Insiders.

So spring hasn’t quite sprung here in Edmonton, nor had it sprung in our most recent road cities (Newark, New York, Uniondale, St. Paul and Chicago), other than Vancouver. It’s supposed to warm up into the low 40’s later today, but there are very light snowshowers and overcast skies throughout the area as of now. The weather was a touch friendlier when we visited Oil Country for Game 81 last season, and if you click that link (and visit other Good Morning, Edmonton posts), you’ll see that this hotel room has more or less become a home away from home. I wonder if I’ll have to pay taxes on it.

Today won’t be as active of a day for the team following a late arrival early this morning. Instead of a morning skate, the team has scheduled at 12:00 p.m. meeting at the hotel. We won’t learn tonight’s starter until warm-ups. I’ll also be working on an LAKings.com story over the next two days, so I’m going to balance my time between a few stories on the blog and my larger team website piece. If you have any questions, either email me – jonnyrosen-at-gmail-dot-com – or post them in the comments section, and I’ll keep up and respond. Waking up with the Kings should go up in 90 minutes. Take a deep breath, Insiders. There’s a big game tonight.
