On the challenges in the loss to Chicago:
I think getting down two. Obviously both teams aren’t going to give up much, and you know they got up the two goals in the second period. It’s tough coming back.
On Chicago having played the night before:
Back-to-backs don’t affect teams anymore. … Looking at us, I would say finishing off at the end of the five games is harder than – back-to-backs don’t bother teams anymore. All these guys are machines.
On Chicago responding to Jake Muzzin’s goal with two quick second period goals:
You know what? I didn’t like the call on Sekera. Duncan scores the power play goal, and the third goal, Clifford loses coverage on Hjalmarsson. As I said, that’s the difference. We probably had to score on the power play that we had in the second, and we couldn’t.
On there being time remaining to still rise in the standings and make the playoffs:
Gotta win games. Gotta win out. You don’t ‘lose and you win’ in this league, especially the way the divisions are set up.
