March 21 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 103-98-35 all-time against Vancouver, a record that includes a home mark of 63-39-18. The Kings fell to 3-1-0 in the season series and 14-6-0 in their last 20 head-to-head matchups (including playoff games). The teams will conclude their season series at Rogers Arena on Monday, April 6.

-Los Angeles fell to 21-11-10 against the Western Conference and 12-5-7 against the Pacific Division.

-The Kings fell to 13-2-3 when scoring on the power play at home, 24-5-8 when scoring first, 18-4-4 when leading after the first period, and 8-4-5 when tied after two periods.

-With his assist on Marian Gaborik’s goal, Anze Kopitar recorded his 600th career point (216-384=600). By recording his 384th career assist, he tied Butch Goring for sixth place on the club’s all-time list.

-Dating back to February 7, Jonathan Quick is 13-4-2 with a 1.76 GAA, .932 Sv% and three shutouts (1122:37 min / 482 shots against / 449 saves).

-The 42 shots allowed to Vancouver represented the most shots allowed since the 4-1 win at Colorado on February 18 and the fifth most shots allowed in a single game this season. The club’s high for shots on goal against in a single game is 49, set in the 6-5 shootout loss at Anaheim on November 12, 2014. The Kings entered the game with a league-best average of 26.9 shots against per game.

-Los Angeles out-hit Vancouver 34-32. Trevor Lewis, Luca Sbisa and Alex Edler finished with a game-high six hits.

-Drew Doughty’s 24:54 of ice time was his lowest total since logging 24:26 in a 4-0 win at Arizona on December 4, 2014 and fourth lowest ice time total of the season.

-The Kings attempted 60 shots (26 on goal, 22 blocked, 12 missed). The Canucks attempted 74 shots (42 on goal, 16 blocked, 16 missed). Daniel Sedin led all skaters with 12 shot attempts (8 on goal, 3 blocked, 1 missed). Daniel Sedin and Alex Edler finished with a game-high eight shots on goal. Andrej Sekera led Los Angeles with four shots on goal.

-The Kings won 27-of-52 faceoffs (52%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 17-of-25, Trevor Lewis won 6-of-7, Nick Shore won 1-of-6 and Jeff Carter won 3-of-13.

The Kings are currently traveling to New Jersey. Sunday’s practice will be held at the Prudential Center.
