-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 74-79-39 all-time against Edmonton, a record that includes an away mark of 36-43-18. The Kings are 2-0-1 against the Oilers this season and have points in 13 consecutive games (10-0-3) in the series. The two teams will meet again on April 2 in Los Angeles and April 7 in Edmonton.

-Los Angeles improved to 18-9-9 against the Western Conference and 10-4-6 against the Pacific Division.

-The Kings’ streak of successful penalty kills ended at a season-high 24 when Teddy Purcell scored at 5:36 of the third period. The previous power play goal allowed was David Jones’ second period goal in Los Angeles’ 5-3 win over Calgary on February 12.

-The Kings’ power play is 2-for-32 over the last 12 games.

-With three points (1-2=3), Trevor Lewis set a new career-high in points in a single game and tied his career-high in assists (sixth time). His second assist was his 10th of the season, tying his career-high for assists in a season (2010-11). He has already surpassed his career-high in goals and points in a season.

-By coaching his 1,102nd career game, Darryl Sutter moved into a tie with Billy Reay for the 16th most NHL games coached in NHL history.

-Jeff Carter’s shorthanded goal was the 14th of his career and sixth by a King this season (Toffoli x4, Lewis, Carter). He has 17 points (11-6-17) in 15 career games against Edmonton amd seven goals, 13 points and a plus-four rating in his last 11 games.

-Los Angeles has played 17 consecutive games without going to overtime. The last game to extend past 60 minutes was a 2-1 overtime loss to Calgary at Staples Center on January 19.

-Marian Gaborik has 50 points (23-27=50) in 51 career games against Edmonton.

-After being held without a shot on goal in consecutive games for the first time this season, Anze Kopitar registered five shots on goal as part of a seven-attempt effort.

-Drew Doughty blocked a game-high five shots.

-The Kings attempted 52 shots (29 on goal, 15 blocked, 8 missed). The Oilers attempted 54 shots (23 on goal, 18 blocked, 13 missed). Justin Schultz led all skaters with eight shot attempts (1 on goal, 4 blocked, 3 missed), while Anze Kopitar led Los Angeles with seven shot attempts (5 on goal, 2 missed). Kyle Clifford led all skaters with six shots on goal.

-The Kings won 30-of-49 faceoffs (61%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 12-of-19, Jarret Stoll won 8-of-13, Nick Shore won 2-of-4 and Jeff Carter won 7-of-12.

The Kings are scheduled to report to TSC at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4. The day’s schedule will be determined on site.
