February 7 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 11-16-3 all-time against Tampa Bay, a record that includes a road mark of 8-6-1. The Kings are 6-3-2 in the last 11 overall games between the clubs. The teams will conclude the season series on February 16 at Staples Center.

-With his first period and third period goals, Justin Williams recorded his 99th and 100th goals as a King.

-Los Angeles improved to 8-11-3 against the Eastern Conference and 6-5-1 against the Atlantic Division.

-In the 18 games Jamie McBain has played, the Kings are 15-for-58 on the power play (25.9%). In the 34 games he hasn’t played, the Kings are 19-for-116 on the power play (16.4%). Los Angeles’ power play ranks 11th overall at 19.5%.

-The Kings lead the league with 1,717 team hits. Jarret Stoll and Drew Doughty finished with a game-high four hits.

-With his first period assist, Jake Muzzin recorded his 25th point of the season, surpassing a career high. His 19 assists tied a career high set in 2013-14.

-Robyn Regehr logged 29:00 of ice time, his highest total since drawing 32:02 of ice time in Calgary’s 6-5 shootout win at Vancouver on December 23, 2005.

-Over the last 28 games, Los Angeles has been outscored 80-75 (excluding shootout goals). Their record in those 28 games is 10-11-7.

-The Kings improved to 6-12-6 on the road (.375 points percentage). Since the introduction of the overtime loss point in 1999-00, the only season in which they generated a points percentage on the road lower than .375 was in 2006-07 (11-25-5 / 27 points / .329 points percentage).

-Los Angeles blocked 14 shots, 13 of which were by defensemen (Doughty – 4, Greene – 3, Regehr – 2, McBain – 2, Muzin – 1, Martinez – 1). Jeff Carter was the only forward to block a shot.

-Tyler Toffoli was credited with a game-high three takeaways and attempted five shots, all of which were on goal.

-The Kings won 27-of-63 faceoffs (43%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 11-of-24, Jarret Stoll won 7-of-16, Nick Shore won 1-of-2, and Jeff Carter won 7-of-20.

-Los Angeles attempted 47 shots (29 on goal, 8 blocked, 10 missed). Tampa Bay attempted 58 shots (28 on goal, 14 blocked, 16 missed). Jake Muzzin (4 on goal, 1 blocked, 1 missed) and Drew Doughty (3 on goal, 1 blocked, 2 missed) finished with a team-high six shot attempts. Victor Hedman led all skaters with nine shot attempts (2 on goal, 4 blocked, 3 missed).
