January 28 morning skate notes

Good morning from El Segundo, where the Kings skated and the Blackhawks are preparing to hold their morning skate. Generally teams choose to hold their morning skate at Staples Center if the building is available, but the Blackhawks, who have been in town since Monday, will skate at the Kings’ practice facility for the third time in three days. James will have quotes from Chicago’s end later today.

Lines!

Gaborik – Kopitar – Brown

Notes!

-Tyler Toffoli, welcome back. It appears as though the young sniper will make his return to the lineup after having missed five games due to mononucleosis. Darryl Sutter will likely speak on his availability shortly, but Toffoli didn’t remain on the ice for extra work and took line rushes alongside two players who are definitely playing, so count on his return to action tonight.

-Jamie McBain and Andy Andreoff remained on for extra work with Martin Jones, so they’re tonight’s projected scratches.

-No surprises: Jonathan Quick left the ice first, so he’s projected to start against the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford will counter him in the opposing net.

-More on the visitors (from yesterday):
