-With the loss, the Kings fell to 45-64-19 all-time against the Rangers, a record that includes a home mark of 26-28-12.

-Los Angeles fell to 0-1-1 during a season-long seven-game homestand (OTL vs NSH, L vs NYR, 1/10 vs WPG, 1/12 vs TOR, 1/14 vs NJD, 1/17 vs ANA, 1/19 vs CGY). …

-The Kings fell to 6-7-3 versus the Eastern Conference and 2-4-2 versus the Metropolitan Division.

-Los Angeles has won five of 20 one-goal games (5-6-9).

-Mike Richards logged a season-low 9:07 of ice time, which included a game-low 7:13 of even strength ice time.

-The Rangers out-hit the Kings 33-24. Dan Girardi finished with a game-high eight hits.

-Los Angeles attempted 60 shots (31 on goal, 15 blocked, 13 missed). New York attempted 51 shots (26 on goal, 11 blocked, 14 missed).

-The Kings won 31-of-58 faceoffs (53%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 2-of-2, Anze Kopitar won 10-of-18, Trevor Lewis won 2-of-4, Jarret Stoll won 7-of-11, and Jeff Carter won 10-of-22.

Per the post-game release, the Kings are scheduled to practice at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9.
