December 16 postgame notes

-With the loss, the Kings fell to 72-96-24 all-time against the Blues, a record that includes an away mark of 26-60-11.

-Los Angeles fell to 9-5-3 against the Western Conference and 5-4-1 against the Central Division.

-The Kings have averaged 2.89 goals per game over their last 18 games (52 G / 18 GP). They have allowed 2.67 goals per game over their last 12 games (32 G / 12 GP). Their opponents have scored at least three goals in four straight games.

-Los Angeles has not been outshot over the last eight games (3-4-1), and has averaged 34 shots per game over that span. Opposing goalies have posted a .941 save percentage over that span (272 saves / 289 shots.

-The Kings have won 9 of the last 24 games (9-10-5).

-Los Angeles has only three games in the Central Time Zone through the remainder of the season (3/1 @ WPG, 3/28 @ MIN, 3/30 @ CHI).

-Jeff Carter has been held without a goal for 13 consecutive games, while Anze Kopitar has one goal in his last 14 games.

-St. Louis out-hit Los Angeles 31-19. David Backes led all skaters with eight hits.

-The Kings attempted 41 shots (23 on goal, 11 blocked, 7 missed). The Blues attempted 42 shots (23 on goal, 10 blocked, 9 missed).

-Los Angeles won 28-of-65 faceoffs (43%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 2-of-8, Anze Kopitar won 11-of-18, Trevor Lewis won 3-of-12, Jarret Stoll won 2-of-16 and Jeff Carter won 9-of-10.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at Toyota Sports Center at 12:00 p.m. on Wedenesday, December 17.
