November 28 practice notes

-The Kings skated through an up-tempo practice on Friday morning at Toyota Sports Center after spending all of Thursday off the ice. The practice contained transition drills as well as pairs of forwards and defensive pairs exiting the zone with a good pace. It ended with a quick bag skate.

-Though there were no line rushes or alignments delineated by jersey colors, during the bag skate, players did skate up and down the ice in lines. Those groupings: Gaborik-Kopitar-Toffoli, Pearson-Carter-Lewis, Brown-Stoll-Williams, Clifford-Richards-King and Andreoff-Nolan. A better indication of lines will be learned during Saturday’s morning skate.

-Alec Martinez skated at close to a top speed and indicated that he was getting closer but declined to provide a timetable on his return. More on Martinez, Dustin Brown and Jonathan Quick will come later today.
