November 12 postgame notes

-With the shootout loss, Los Angeles fell to 53-43-22 all-time against Anaheim, a record that includes a road mark of 21-26-12.

-The Kings fell to 6-1-2 against the Western Conference and 2-1-2 against the Pacific Division.

-The last time the Kings scored five goals and lost was a 6-5 home shootout loss to San Jose on April 5, 2012.

-With his first period penalty shot goal, Anze Kopitar recorded his first career goal on a penalty shot (1-for-3). The last goal the Kings scored on a penalty shot was by Trevor Lewis on Craig Anderson on January 23, 2012 versus Ottawa. Kopitar’s attempt marked the 55th penalty shot in Kings history (17-for-55; 30.9%) and the second penalty shot this season (1-for-2).

-Los Angeles fell to 6-0-3 when scoring first and 7-0-2 when allowing zero power play goals.

-The Kings are 1-for-21 on the power play on the road this season and were outshot 5-2 while on the power play.

-With two assists, Jake Muzzin (1-4=5) extended his point streak to three games.

-Anze Kopitar played his 617th game as a King, moving past Mark Hardy for sole possession of ninth place on the club’s all-time list. He has 48 points (19-29=48) in 46 career games versus Anaheim.

-By playing his 736th game as a King, Dustin Brown moved into a tie with Butch Goring for sixth place on the club’s all-time list.

-Los Angeles attempted 49 shots (26 on goal, 10 blocked, 13 missed net). Anaheim attempted 88 shots (49 on goal, 20 blocked, 19 missed net).

-The Kings won 30-of-65 faceoffs (46%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 7-of-16, Anze Kopitar won 13-of-22, Jarret Stoll won 5-of-14, and Jeff Carter won 5-of-13.
