November 2 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 33-27-10 all-time against the Carolina/Hartford franchise, a record that includes a road mark of 13-16-7. Eight of the last 10 meetings between the teams have been decided by one goal.

-The Kings finished 2-3-1 in a six-game stretch against Eastern Conference teams (2-0 W vs BUF, 5-2 W vs CBJ, 2-3 OTL @ PHI, 0-3 L @ PIT, 2-5 L @ DET, 2-3 L @ CAR).

-Los Angeles fell to 1-2-1 against the Metropolitan Division.

-After having killed off 18 consecutive power plays entering last Sunday’s game, the Kings have allowed six power play goals on 20 opportunities over the last five games.

-Los Angeles has allowed at least three goals in all four games on the road trip (0-3-1).

-The Kings fell to 4-1-0 when scoring on the power play.

-With a plus-one performance, Tanner Pearson has posted an even-or-better rating in all 12 games this season.

-Tyler Toffoli’s streak of 11 consecutive even-or-better ratings to start the season was broken with his minus-one performance.

-Drew Doughty played in his 454th career game to tie Jaroslav Modry for eighth place on the club’s all-time games played list by a defenseman.

-With an assist, Justin Williams has now totaled four points (1-3=4) in his four games in Raleigh since being traded to Los Angeles late in the 2008-09 season.

-Justin Williams and Nathan Gerbe tied with a game-high seven shots on goal.

-Los Angeles attempted 51 shots (32 on goal, 11 blocked, eight missed). Carolina attempted 59 shots (32 on goal, 14 blocked, 13 missed).

-The Kings won 34-of-59 faceoffs. Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 3-of-11, Anze Kopitar won 13-of-19, Jarret Stoll won 6-of-10, and Jeff Carter won 12-of-19.
