Good morning from Detroit, where the Kings arrived roughly half an hour after a touch down at DTW last night. Arrival at the hotel was at 12:30, give or take, and would have been earlier if not for the Pittsburgh and Detroit airports being situated well outside of each city’s downtown areas. For the second straight flight, travel time from wheels up to wheels down was roughly 40 minutes.

We’re near the DTE Energy building and the MGM Grand Casino, two institutions that I offered semi-regular donations to during my time as an undergraduate 40 miles to the west.
