October 14 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 73-79-38 all-time against Edmonton, a record that includes a 38-36-21 home mark.

-The Kings have won a franchise record seven straight games against the Oilers and have recorded points in a franchise record 11 straight games (9-0-2) since a 3-0 home setback on November 3, 2011.

-Dean Lombardi earned his 300th win as Los Angeles’ general manager. He became the first GM in team history to reach the 300 win mark.

-Darryl Sutter earned his 100th win as the Kings’ head coach. It took him 183 regular season games (100-58-25) to reach 100 wins, beating Terry Murray to 100 wins by 14 games. He became the fourth coach in NHL history to earn 100 wins with four different teams.

-Los Angeles is 2-0-0 in its six-game homestand (10/12 LAK 4, WPG 1; 10/14 LAK 6, EDM 1; 10/16 STL; 10/19 MIN; 10/23 BUF; 10/26 CBJ). Los Angeles’ longest homestand of the season is seven games long, taking place between January 3 and 19, 2015. …

-Tyler Toffoli recorded his second consecutive multi-point game and extended his point streak to three games. His goal at 9:49 of the first period was the first shorthanded goal of his career. He currently leads the team with five points (2-3=5) and has tied his career-long two-game goal streak.

-Tanner Pearson (2-1=3) extended his goal streak and point streak to a career-long three games. He recorded his first career three-point game and first career multi-point game.

-Jeff Carter (1-1=2) recorded his second consecutive multi-point game to extend his goal streak to three games. He recorded his first game-winning goal of the season and 54th of his career.

-The line of Carter, Pearson and Toffoli has combined for nine points (9-7=16) and a plus-22 rating in the last three games.

-No King recorded fewer than 12:16 of ice time (Andreoff) or more than 22:53 (Voynov). All forwards recorded between 12:16 (Andreoff) and 17:37 (Kopitar) of ice time. The skater with the least amount of even strength ice time was Tyler Toffoli, with 10:45.

-Boyd Gordon blocked the lone shot amongst Oilers forwards.

-Los Angeles attempted 45 shots (26 on net, 6 blocked, 13 missed). Edmonton attempted 53 shots (32 on net, 12 blocked, 9 missed).

-The Kings won 33-of-58 faceoffs. Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 1-of-3, Anze Kopitar won 11-of-17, Andy Andreoff won 3-of-8, Jarret Stoll won 9-of-17, and Jeff Carter won 9-of-13.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at Toyota Sports Center at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15.
