Line rushes from today’s morning skate in El Segundo:
Richards – Kopitar – Williams
Pearson – Carter – Toffoli
King – Stoll – Brown
Clifford – Andreoff – Nolan
McNabb – Doughty
Regehr – Voynov
Martinez – Greene
Quick
Jones
-Marian Gaborik did not participate in today’s morning skate due to an injury related to the muscle injury he suffered during training camp. More information will be provided by Darryl shortly after the team emerges from its video session.
-With the injuries to Gaborik, Trevor Lewis and Jake Muzzin, the Kings are down to 20 healthy bodies on the roster. Should the Kings suffer an additional casualty before a member of the three is able to return, they would be placed in a situation in which they would need to call a player up on an emergency basis. Because CapGeek lists the Kings’ cap space at $342,500, they don’t have the necessary space to call a player up on a non-emergency basis.
-With the injuries, Mike Richards skated to the left of Anze Kopitar, reprising an alignment that was utilized early in the 2011-12 season.
-Andy Andreoff will make his NHL debut tonight on a line that shouldn’t have any shortage of truculence.
-Jonathan Quick left the ice first; he’ll draw the start against Edmonton.
