It’s hard to forget what happened the last time Alec Martinez took a shift on the Staples Center ice.

Following Wednesday’s morning skate, the 27-year-old defenseman discussed returning to the Kings’ home arena for the regular season opener and how facing the Sharks at home differs from facing them on the road.
