KingsVision: Obama commends Brown, Kings

Let it be acknowledged that President Barack Obama recently told Dustin Brown, “It was an unbelievable run that you guys had, and it’s been great to watch what you’ve done with the Kings, but also in the Olympics, and I just wanted to say how proud I am to see how you represent the U.S. in Sochi and the sportsmanship you demonstrate on Team USA. So congratulations on a pretty good year.” That is an official United States position.

And Brown even gave a little bit of business to the President, a Chicago sports fan who jokingly chided the team for having beaten the Blackhawks one day before visiting the White House in 2013.

The Kings will once immerse themselves in the history and pageantry of the executive branch of government when they visit the White House for the second time in three seasons – presumably on Monday, February 2, one day in advance of the Kings’ only 2014-15 visit to the Verizon Center in Washington.
