Forward lines revert back to pre-Game 1 adjustments

It is a busy day in El Segundo, where the local and national media has descended upon the Kings’ practice at the Toyota Sports Center. I can’t recall the team’s practices during the Stanley Cup Final two years ago, but I believe this to be the first time Don Cherry has attended a skate at the team’s facility.

Judging by color coded jerseys and early line rushes, the Kings appear to have returned to their pre-Game 1 alignment. Keep in mind that this means little, and that there are constantly adjustments made throughout each game.

Today’s lines:

White: Gaborik-Kopitar-Brown
Green: Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
Purple: King-Stoll-Williams
Yellow: Clifford-Richards-Lewis
Baby Blue: Fraser-Vey-Nolan

Keep in mind that a morning skate tomorrow is unlikely given the 4:00 p.m. start, so we’re likely to see a familiar lineup from Game 2. Notes on Robyn Regehr or any potential changes to the lineup will be shared when they become learned.
