May 30 postgame quotes: Dustin Brown

On the team having spoken about not wanting to return to Chicago:
No, it’s not. But now, it’s go in and win a game. I think we know what we need to do with our game to win. It’s just cleaning up. Again tonight, up until the last two games, I think we’ve done a good job on Kane. Today we gave him space and he makes plays.

On whether they allowed too much open space in front of their net:
I think if we kill the play earlier… the two goals in the third were a result of giving Kane time and space and that’s what happens. We’d been doing a good job on him. The last two games, we’ve let him off hook a little bit. Like I said, that’s why he’s the type of player that he is and he’s able to make plays.

On whether the coaches are discussing how to defend Patrick Kane:
It’s being hard on their top players. It’s the same thing they’re probably saying about Kopi and Drew and Gabby, is you have to be hard on those top guys and limit their space. When you do that, it makes it harder on them.

On Drew Doughty’s play in the third:
Drew was awesome in the third. It’s one of those things where we have to find a way to regroup and go after it. We’ve been in this situation before and we have to go about in the same way that we normally do.
