Nikolai Prokhorkin has not signed with the Kings

It was reported this morning that Los Angeles prospect Nikholai Prokhorkin will terminate his contract with CSKA Moscow to sign with the Kings.

At this moment, it is not clear if the contract has been terminated. NHL clubs recognize KHL contracts, which means that Prokhorkin’s contract with CSKA would have to be terminated before signing a hypothetical contract with Los Angeles.

A 2013-14 KHL all-star, Prokhorkin scored 19 goals as part of a 37-point, 52-game season with CSKA. The 2012 fourth round pick recorded one assist in eight games with the Manchester Monarchs in 2012-13 before returning to Russia.
