May 14 postgame quotes: Anze Kopitar

On the Game 6 win:
I thought our PK was pretty solid today, too. Obviously Quickie back there was solid, as always. We managed to get a couple and live another day.

On whether goals from Jake Muzzin and Trevor Lewis took the “burden” off top players:
Yeah, it’s nice. At this time of the year, it doesn’t matter who scores as long as we get one more than the other team.

On holding Ryan Getzlaf off the scoresheet and success against Anaheim’s top line:
I wouldn’t say we were focusing only on that line, obviously, because they have lots of firepower. But we are aware when that line’s on the ice, because they’ve been hurting us the last couple games, so maybe pay attention a little bit. But you can’t respect them too much. Obviously you have to respect them, but you can’t respect them too much, because in that process he can burn you.

On whether the team’s “will” changes when their backs are against the wall:
It doesn’t change anything. We’re just trying to play, execute our game plan, and that’s about it.

On having wanted a better team performance, and whether this was “Kings Hockey”:
Well, yeah, it looked like it. I mean, we had a couple goals and then shut it down pretty good. No, I think we can still play better hockey. We’ve done it before. We know it’s going to get harder, obviously. Game 7s are always exciting, but the hardest game, obviously, to clinch, and we’re going to have to bring it again on Friday.

On what a Game 7 means to Southern California hockey:
I think we’re going to talk about it after the game what it means for hockey down here. But I’m sure everybody’s pretty excited to have another game.
