May 10 postgame quotes: Tanner Pearson

On the Game 4 loss:
I think we just started the game off kind of slow, and we just couldn’t get the puck behind Gibson on the second and third chances, so going into the next game we’ve got to bear down on those.

On what he didn’t like after the early first period push:
Like you said, we had that good push, and then they got that one, and then the power play one pretty much a couple shifts after, which I think kind of hurt us. We came out strong in the second and third. We just couldn’t solve him.

On whether there was a mental letdown after the early push:
Not really. I think it’s just one game, and we’ve got to regroup and then put this one behind us and go onto the next game and then start to focus on the next game.

On whether he was surprised that Tyler Toffoli was moved off the line:
I don’t know. We lost last game, so Darryl decided to switch up the lines a bit. It was kind of juggled throughout the game also, so I think we saw a bit of everyone together tonight.

On heading back to Anaheim for Game 5:
I think we played well in their building. We’ve just got to look at it as another game. The series is all tied up, so the series starts all over again.
