Well, it’s not that it doesn’t come into play. Tonight was a pretty well played game. [Reporter: But the fact that obviously the road team’s won every game here.] We could’ve won tonight and they could’ve won last game. That’s how close it is.
On whether Anaheim “did anything different”:
Not that I’m aware of.
On whether Anaheim was the more desperate team:
No, I thought we played really well. I’m sure they’re going to say that, too. The difference in the game is a little turnover when it’s one-one when you have a penalty kill.
On the challenge of playing from behind:
We did it in the overtime game, tied it up. Hey, it’s that close. You can break it down, find those little areas.
On whether the Teemu Selanne power play goal was the turning point:
I just said it was a turnover with about seven seconds left on the power play. So it’s not really a penalty kill. It’s just basically you’ve got to make a better play. When you have a chance a chance to shoot the puck, you’re able to shoot the puck 110 feet there.
On whether he was gradually trying to get the Kopitar line against the Getzlaf line:
Yep. [Reporter: Any reason why? Perhaps a change from the beginning of the game?] No.
On whether he was “reasonably pleased” with the way Los Angeles played:
They’re a high scoring team. If you’re allowed to give guys easy, fast opportunities towards our goal…they’re going to beat us. That’s what they did tonight.
