Drew Doughty is participating in Los Angeles’ practice at the Toyota Sports Center this morning, four days after he left a 2-1 loss at San Jose when he suffered an upper-body injury while making an open-ice hit on Tyler Kennedy in the Kings’ defensive zone. Paired with Robyn Regehr in line rushes, he left the ice shortly before 10:20 a.m. – roughly five minutes before practice began to wind down – though I wouldn’t read a ton into his early departure. We’ll learn more about his participation and recovery after practice.
Lines and defensive pairings from today’s skate:
Gaborik – Kopitar – Williams
King – Nolan – Carter – Toffoli
Pearson – Stoll – Brown
Clifford – Richards – Lewis
Regehr – Doughty
Muzzin – Voynov
Mitchell – Martinez
Campbell – Greene
