April 3 postgame quotes: Jordan Nolan

On feeling relieved by scoring a goal:
Definitely, when you’re struggling to score goals you just have to play it simple, going hard to the net and just working and hopefully things work out for you.

On the team’s effort:
I don’t think we were fully committed to playing that hard style of game. They turned it up a notch halfway through the game and we have to respond. That’s how it’s going to be if we play them in the playoffs. That’s the kind of hockey it’s going to be so we have to be ready for that and hopefully we are a little bit more when we play them again in the playoffs.

On losing Drew Doughty early in the game:
Obviously it’s too bad, but we have lot of guys that can step up here and kind of play some more minutes and help the team. That’s what I think. I think for the most part we did ok. We could have had a little more push back. Their top players really played a hard game and so did ours too, but we just needed a little bit more.

On Slava Voynov getting tangled up with Joe Thornton:
Slava, he’s one of those guys where once he gets going he gets really into the game and he’s a competitor and it’s nice to see it come out of him.

On Los Angeles and San Jose not liking each other:
Definitely, they compete hard, we compete hard. We play similar styles, in your face hockey. If we do play them in the playoffs, it’ll be fun to watch.

On the game feeling like a playoff game:
It felt like it a little bit. Just a little taste I guess you could say if we do play them in the first round, but I could expect our guys to turn it up a little bit more for them.
