On shutting Pittsburgh out on the power play:
[Pittsburgh] practiced it this morning, and they had a lot of practice tonight, too. Parts of seven. Obviously it was the difference in the game.
On emerging from three eastern buildings with one-goal wins:
You know what? And they’re all such good buildings. I said that with the other two, and this one, too. They’re all such good atmospheres and good buildings and good teams, and all three teams are at different places in their standings. Obviously, you get six points, you take it and get home.
On what he saw on the goaltender interference call:
Goalie interference. But the original part of it – I mean, you’ve got to ask somebody else – but the original part of it is they’re checking to see mif the puck’s in before the net’s off. It just says he announced it. What’s there to see? It’s how he announced it. He said the puck’s over before the net was off, and he said it was goalie interference.
On Dustin Brown’s return to the penalty kill:
We’ve used him. Between him and Willie, depending on – it’s a tough energy trip, so you’re just trying to [Reporter: Spread it out a little?] Yeah Between Willie and Brownie and usually Kopi.
On the team exerting its strengths as the game progressed:
Well, if you have a tie game in these road games going into the third, if you can buy that before the game started, you’d take that. For sure.
