On Phoenix playing a “desperate” third period:
You know, I thought they were desperate the whole game there. You look at where they are in the playoff race. That’s the time of the year it is. Everybody’s playing desperate.
On whether Los Angeles was “not desperate enough”:
No, I thought we played well enough. I don’t think I played well enough. You give up four goals, you’re going to lose games, so I’ve got to be better.
On the game’s turning point:
Four goals against. There’s no one turning point. There’s four goals against, and the majority of them I thought I should’ve had, so I’ve got to be better for the team.
On killing penalties in the third period:
Well, that’s why we have a penalty kill unit, that we do video, and practice. That’s the job, to kill the penalty.
On whether he knew immediately that the game-winning goal had crossed the line:
No, I knew it was close.
On making good saves and being “all over the place”:
Four goals against is not ‘all over the place.’ Four goals against is unsatisfactory, so I’ve got to be better.
