March 15 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 53-43-20 all-time against Anaheim, a record that includes a home mark of 32-17-9. The Ducks won at Staples Center for the first time since April 9, 2011, snapping a five-game losing streak in Downtown Los Angeles.

-With 1,025 games coached, Darryl Sutter trails his brother Brian Sutter (1,028) by three games for 17th place on the NHL’s all-time regular season games coached list.

-The Kings have allowed 10 even strength goals, six power play goals and one shorthanded goal over the last 10 games.

-The Kings are 7-for-28 on the power play over the last nine games and have gone 22-for-24 on the penalty kill, dating back to the third period in Colorado on February 26.

-Jeff Carter has four goals in his last 17 games.

-Mike Richards has four points (2-2=4) and a minus-2 rating in his last 17 games.

-Alec Martinez has six points (3-3=6) in the last seven games.

-The Kings have 193 shots in the last five games (38.6 shots per game average).

-Justin Williams and Jakob Silfverberg tied with a game-high five shots on goal.

-Anaheim blocked 17 of Los Angeles’ 68 total shot attempts (25%). Los Angeles blocked six of Anaheim’s 40 total shot attempts (15%). Drew Doughty blocked four shots, tying Daniel Winnik for the game-high.

-The Kings won 40-of-75 faceoffs (53%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 4-of-8, Anze Kopitar won 16-of-28, Trevor Lewis won 0-of-5, Jarret Stoll won 11-of-20, and Jeff Carter won 8-of-12.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 p.m. at Toyota Sports Center on Sunday, March 16.
