March 6 postgame quotes: Marian Gaborik

On being able to get back to hockey after the trade:
I’m back at it. Great way for a first game for us and then a couple more on the road and now we have a couple days before the next game. So I’m going to try and settle down here and just enjoy it.

On developing chemistry with Justin Williams and Anze Kopitar:
I think so, we created some things. We had some good zone time and on the power play as well. I would mention before, we got great help by our D – offensively as well. I think it’s going to get better and better.

On his first day with the team:
Everything happens fast. It was a hectic day yesterday… Come in the morning, had a few meetings, had some morning skate and then jump back at it. So obviously [we] have a couple days without a game right now, so I’m going to settle in and get back at it on Sunday.

On fitting into the team’s system:
I think we had some zone time and created some chances. I think it’s going to get better and better. We had some good power play time as well. We had some chances there. Our defensemen helped offensively.

On skating on a line with Anze Kopitar:
I always said he’s one of the top playmakers in the league – just overall two-way player as well and it’s fun to be a part of it, just a part of the whole team and that line as well.
