March 3 postgame quotes: Justin Williams

On winning a game with a lot of chances but not a glut of shots on goal:
We’re playing the way I expected us to play coming out of the break. We’re playing hard. We’re not giving up leads. But eventually, yeah, we do have to capitalize on these chances. We had a couple late power plays, quite a few posts tonight, I think, that we hit. All in all, it’s two points in the bank that we need if we’re going to get home ice.

On whether it’s starting to feel like playoff hockey:
Well, it’s getting there, right? We’re under 20. I look around our room and I know I have confidence in everyone and I know they feel the same. When push comes to shove, it’s time to show up, and we’re getting close to that time.

On how important it is that the team has been in this position several times:
Big, because there’s no second guessing. You know what everyone’s capable of, and you expect their best. When the time comes, if everyone’s not on their game, they’ll find it for the big moments, I believe that, and I know everyone else does as well.

On his thoughts on the power play:
I thought it was pretty darn good. What did you think? [Reporter: That’s why I’m asking you.] The second unit didn’t get out so much because the first unit was dominating out there. It was awesome to see, especially when Jeff finished it off there and got us the big game winner. The power play’s gotten us, I think, three big game winners since we’ve gotten back from break, so we’re scoring at the right time.
