February 26 postgame quotes: Martin Jones

On the win:
It was just a really, really gutsy win. For a team that’s had its trouble scoring goals, to score – whatever it was, four in a row – four or five straight goals, that showed a lot of character. So that was a big win.

On making big saves late in the game:
They did a good job all night taking pucks to the net from the goal line. They scored a couple goals off it. So I just tried to take away the first shot and the rebound squirted out. Our guys did a pretty good job in front of the net tonight dealing with that because they did a really good job taking the puck to the net.

On his save on Gabriel Landeskog in the third period:
Ideally, I want to keep that rebound on the strong side. So it got away a little bit and he tried to wrap it far side, so it just popped out and I tried to get anything I could over to make the save there.

On holding onto the lead late in the game:
Our guys do a really great job – when we have a lead – we really clamp down, do a good job defensively. It was a good character win, like I said. The fashion that we did it in, we’re really happy to get that one.
