Schultz to Manchester; Martinez practices

The Kings assigned defenseman Jeff Schultz to AHL-Manchester for the third time this season. Schultz had been recalled as an insurance piece after Alec Martinez suffered an elbow hyperextension in the January 25 outdoor game. Martinez was never placed on injured reserve.

Martinez practiced fully with the Kings for the first time since suffering the injury, though a clue towards whether he’ll play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday will be learned in the defensive alignments at Thursday’s morning skate.
