February 3 morning line rushes

The Kings didn’t hold traditional line rushes up and down the ice, but did hold several transition and compete drills at the morning skate that featured the following alignments:

Toffoli – Kopitar – Carter
Brown – Richards – Williams
King – Stoll – Lewis
Clifford – Fraser – Nolan – Frattin

Mitchell – Doughty
Regehr – Voynov
Muzzin – Greene
Schultz

-Jonathan Quick left the ice first. He’ll draw the start against the Blackhawks tonight.

-All forwards left the ice at virtually the same time, so there was no indication of the forward that will be scratched. Expect all forwards on the active roster to take part in warm-ups.

-There are seven healthy defensemen, so players saw time with multiple partners during the morning skate. Initial pairings included Willie Mitchell and Drew Doughty together, and both Mitchell and Doughty seemed to indicate in quotes that they’ll skate together, so expect the two to see time alongside each other tonight.

-Alec Martinez took the ice late in the morning skate and remained on for work with Jeff Schultz. He is out tonight and has not yet joined the team for full practices.
