On whether Monday’s game represented the way he wants the Kings to play:
It’s the way we’ve been playing. You just don’t get the results all the time.
On Quick’s performance:
Hey, we don’t score many goals, so you know what? You’ve got to make big saves, and you’ve got to limit the other team, and you’ve got to bear down on opportunities. At the end of the night, we had plenty of opportunities. We hit the post. Richie hits the post late in the first, which could put you up one-nothing. We probably hit, counting the empty net, Kopi’s goal, probably four posts. So, you know what? It’s not just about one guy. This is a tough building to come into and get one point, let alone two. You can say you worked hard and not get nothin’.
On the win:
Our game doesn’t change. I fully understand how our team plays every night, and they walk out every night with their chins up. That’s what you have to do.
On Matt Greene’s performance:
I think our three veteran defensemen were really solid back there, being Greene, Mitchell, Regehr.
On whether the Kings can build off the win following a “slump”:
I don’t look at it as a slump. You know what? There’s three or four of you guys that just always want to…find something bad about the team. We show up every night.
