NHL Revealed debuts tonight; FSW covering outdoor game

NHL Revealed: A Season Like No Other debuts tonight on NBC Sports Network at 8:00 p.m. PT. The seven-part series follows the Kings, Ducks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Blackhawks, Penguins, Canucks and Senators as they prepare to play in the Stadium Series games and the Heritage Classic, set within the backdrop of the impending Sochi Olympic games.

Attention will be paid to Saturday’s game at Dodger Stadium. A Toronto-based production crew spent the second week of January in El Segundo and Downtown Los Angeles to capture footage that will be used in tonight’s episode. For Darryl Sutter, the opened locker room was similar to NHL 36: Mike Richards, which aired on NBCSN two years ago.

Darryl Sutter, on being a part of NHL Revealed:
We’ve had that before. I think it was the Mike Richards thing. It’s not something that’s new to us. They work with us pretty closely, and the way our schedule is, it’s pretty jammed up, and so there are ‘pick-and-choose’ days. It’s…two or three days. We’re one of those teams that are playing outdoor games. So all the teams get it.

While the Stadium Series game will be airing on NBCSN, Fox Sports West will handle pre and post-game coverage from the Fox Sports West desk in center field at Dodger Stadium this Saturday. The “NHL Stadium Series Live” pre-game show will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be hosted by Patrick O’Neal. Joining O’Neal will be analysts Sean O’Donnell and Brian Hayward, with on-field reporting provided by Mark Rogondino and Alex Curry. The NHL Stadium Series Live post-game show will air on FOX Sports West at approximately 9:30 p.m.
