Doughty “fine” following pre-game cut

Drew Doughty is “fine” after suffering a cut on his toe while he was getting dressed prior to Monday’s 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. He was late joining the Kings on the ice during warm-ups.

Though he received several stitches, it wasn’t a “bad cut,” per Doughty. “No, I was fine,” he said when asked if it affected his performance.

Doughty, on getting cut prior to the game:
I got a cut and had to clean it up. [Reporter: Where did you get cut?] On my foot. [Reporter: Was it a freak accident?] Yeah, it was just like I got cut with my skate tying it up or whatever. Yeah I just cut myself in the dressing room before the game. [Reporter: What happened?] Just tying my skate, cut myself, had to get some stitches and that was it. [Reporter: How many stitches?] Two, three – it wasn’t bad. It sucked I wasn’t out there for warm up.
