January 18 postgame quotes: Drew Doughty

On Niklas Kronwall’s goal:
That’s a tough bounce. It’s a black puck, a little thing up in the sky, and it’s tough for the refs to see it. I think I’m the only person on the whole ice that saw it, so obviously that made it tough. We got one point out of it, that’s the only positive you can take.”

On what the referees said to the team:
They just said they didn’t see it. It’s unfortunate. We should’ve got two points.

On whether he’d ever been involved in anything similar:
I’ve never seen that before, that’s for sure. It’s crappy to lose a game that way.

On Jonathan Quick:
That was awesome. I love that about Quickie. No matter what the circumstances are, he’s going to take the blame for any goal. He’s always there for us, and for him to do that – I thought it was pretty cool. I loved it actually.

On if he would have liked to have seen USA goalies Jonathan Quick and Jimmy Howard fight:
I wouldn’t mind that I guess. Like I said, that was awesome of Quickie. I like the intimidation.

On the ‘park-and-ride’ mentality:
We should’ve got two points tonight. We all know that. It’s in the past now. We got one point out of it. That’s a bonus. We’ve got a long road trip still ahead of us and we’ve got to make it a good one.
