Big day today

Greetings from El Segundo, where the Kings have taken the ice for the morning skate in advance of their game against the Vancouver Canucks at STAPLES Center (7:30 p.m. / FOX Sports West / KEIB AM 1150).

An update before I post today’s line rushes – there will be a media event at Dodger Stadium today as the NHL’s ice truck arrives to begin the preliminary stages of putting the outdoor rink together. Wayne Gretzky will be on hand to speak. I’ll be at Dodger Stadium, while James will be at the Canucks’ morning skate. Expect reports from both.

Another note – the game at Calgary on Wednesday, April 9 has moved from FOX Sports West to KCOP 13. Adjust your lives accordingly.
