Quick rehab assignment put on ice

Because of snowstorms that have delayed and canceled flights throughout much of the eastern part of the country, the plans for Jonathan Quick to begin a rehabilitation assignment with the Manchester Monarchs this weekend have been shelved, according to Assistant General Manager Rob Blake.

Quick was originally supposed to fly out of St. Louis before joining the Manchester Monarchs during a weekend trip through Binghamton, Wilkes Barre-Scranton and Hershey, though there were complications with his travel plans, which included a change of planes.

Though there was still the possibility of adjusting Quick’s travel reservations on the fly, the plans now have the former Conn Smythe Trophy winner traveling back to Los Angeles with the team.

The Kings conclude a four-game road trip against the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center tonight (5:00 CT / FOX Sports West).
