December 31 postgame quotes: Anze Kopitar

On how they can keep the losing streak from snowballing:
Yeah, a little bit, it seems that way. But we’re an experienced team and we’re going to have to snap out of it. I mean there’s no other way around it. We’ve lost four now. We’re going into a tough building in a couple days. Maybe that’s what we need, to go in there. I’m pretty sure in St. Louis it’s going to be physical and it’s going to be emotional and it seems like they always bring out the best of us. We’re going to be ready.

On the game:
A little bit too loose, a couple of I guess tough goals and quick ones too. That always kills the momentum. But, I thought in the third period we started off pretty well obviously. Then sustained the pressure, but just couldn’t get it done.

On eliminating minor penalties:
I mean, just keep our sticks down a little more I guess, move our feet and watch it. I don’t think there’s too much of a recipe for not taking penalties. We all know what we have to do and what’s legal and what’s not legal. We’re definitely taking too many, that’s for sure and we’re going to have to cut down.

On evaluating himself at the midway point in the season:
Definitely could’ve been better, but also could’ve been worse. It doesn’t matter what happened already, we’re looking ahead now to the other 41 [games] and the next one is in two days and it’s going to be a big one for us.
