TIP-A-KING 2014: I attended my first Tip-A-King in the fall of 2011, and I’m actually embarrassed that it took that long. If you haven’t bought tickets yet – or if you’ve never attended – here’s your opportunity to take part in the event that serves as the single largest fundraiser for the Kings Care Foundation. This year’s event will take place on the Event Deck at LA Live following the 1:00 p.m. Kings-Flyers game on February 1. It’s the first Tip-A-King since the November, 2011 event and continues a fundraiser established in the late 1980’s. Here’s a refresher course on Tip-A-King, and here’s how you can purchase tickets before they’re all snatched up.

HOLIDAY PYROTECHNIC SHOW: This is sure to make all the reporters happy. The Kings will play their final home game before the Christmas break on Monday, December 23. 10 minutes after the final buzzer, Staples Center will host the first ever “LA Kings Holiday Pyrotechnic and Laser Light Show.” No extra ticket is needed.

From LAKings.com:
The show is set to begin within 10 minutes following the game, and will incorporate a Kings holiday-themed video, holiday themed sound track, lights, lasers and an on-ice pyrotechnic display. The Kings are excited to launch this unique holiday promotion for our fans, a first of its kind in Kings Franchise history.
