December 15 postgame quotes: Ben Scrivens

On the team’s recent success:
It’s obviously a culmination of a lot of things. Every guy has his own job and every ones’ been focused on the details of their game. When you have a bunch of individuals who are taking care of their end, the group as a whole is successful, generally. It’s been a good streak, but we need to get another going immediately.

On his time off in between starts:
Well fortunately, I’ve been practicing and stuff too. So it’s not like I haven’t faced a shot. They obviously came out strong. You don’t want to have paralysis by analysis in the middle of it, but at the same time you have to find a way to make a few more saves for the guys.

On preparing for the game:
Obviously, it was great playing for that long stretch there and Jonsey has been on fire of late too. It’s great to see a young guy come in and have success. He’s been a big part of our team lately. It’s the nature of the position being a goalie. Sometimes you’re the hot hand and sometimes you’re not. You just have to stay sharp in practice and when you do get a chance, try to give the boys a chance to win.
