December 11 postgame quotes: Jordan Nolan

On if the team’s tough mentality is leading to road wins:
I think so. I think Darryl’s definitely pretty hard on us. He’s pretty stern. He has a certain way he wants us to play. We just try and match that compete level he wants, every single night and I think we’re doing a pretty good job.

On getting the win:
Not every game is not going to be pretty, we’re not going to play our best game every night. We stuck with it and Jonesy played unbelievable so we got two points.

On Martin Jones:
He’s always pretty calm. He’s pretty confident. He’s one of the top players down in the American league. He’s showing his stuff right now. I think everyone knew it was possible and he’s making it happen.

On his fight with Frazer McLaren:
He plays a tough game. He plays pretty honest. He’s always looking to stir it up. I felt like our team maybe needed a little bit of emotion and the game needed a little bit of a spark. Hopefully we gave it that. [Reporter: Was he one of the tougher guys you’ve fought?] He’s a big boy. I played against him in the American league for a number of years. We’re pretty familiar with each other. It was nothing new.

On coming home to Ontario:
It’s nice. Nice to see my buddies right now and my family members and spend some time with them tomorrow.
