Report: Sabres inquire about Futa

As reported by Bob McKenzie during Tuesday night’s Insider Trading segment on TSN, the Buffalo Sabres have asked the Kings for permission to speak with Director of Amateur Scouting Mike Futa as part of their efforts to fill the club’s vacant General Manager position. Per McKenzie, Futa is on a list of an estimated six-to-10 candidates that the Sabres are considering.

Futa is in his seventh season as the club’s Director of Amateur Scouting.
