Well, there’s no easy solution to it. Maybe hard work and effort and execution. That’s where we’ve got to focus on. We left it too late, and unfortunately I couldn’t come up with a save at the end there.
On the fluke second period goal he allowed:
That stuff happens. It’s a game on ice. I caught an edge, and they were fortunate to capitalize on it, but I was trying to get out there and play pucks and help the D-men out. That was my plan going out, and [it’s] an unfortunate break. You catch an edge. 90 percent of the time that doesn’t really do anything, but this time it unfortunately might have cost us the game.
On what the team needs to do to move forward:
The same way we park good games and good wins. It’s a new game every time. It’s hard to win in this league. We’ll take what we can from this game. It’s a brand new 60 minutes when St. Louis is here. That’s what we’ve got to start getting focused for. We’ll take what we can, but we’ve got to park it pretty quickly here.
